Is the movie There will be Blood exetremley innapropriate?

There really isn't much violence, gore, or cuss words, but i don't think i'd let a 14 year-old see it. Nothing personal, but it's an un-cut look at life in oil business during the early 1900's, it was rough. It's more mentally or theoretically shocking to a person, there's abandonment, competition, deceit. It's not a happy movie, but it's not a sad movie, it's just raw life the way it was (or believed to be).
