Why don't creationists prove their own claims instead of trying to disprove Science?

Creationism/ ID/ whatever else they call it next; isn't a theory at all. It's simply a first step in trying to legitimize a collection of fairy tales that seems to have a stranglehold on some members of our society. People with such irrational beliefs will view anything as rational and obvious as evolution as an extraordinary threat to those beliefs. Most of this is due to the increasingly popular fundamentalist interpretation of the bible and the desire to cram it down our collective throats.
