Why does sprite and other food taste better in colombia?

i have gone to colombia umteen times and i always love the food when i go but i want to know why thy sprite and coca cola taste sooooo diferent when i go it taste so much sweeter and more like "organic" you can say any clues and also gl bottle drinks taste ten times better then plastic there and here in US they taste identical and crappy as hell just sugar is all i taste
