Being declared anti-muslim?

I was called a bigot after stating that although most Muslims are not terrorists, most terrorists are Muslims. That is a fact. Why is Islam above facts? And a side note, why is it sometimes considered wrong to state that the term "Palestinian" is invented? "Palestinians" are no different than arabs, what claim do they have to independence?
